A Meeting of the AWARDS, GRANTS AND TRANSPORT (APPEALS) COMMITTEE was held at the CIVIC OFFICE, DONCASTER on TUESDAY, 21ST OCTOBER, 2014, at 10.30 A.M.

1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Councillor Linda Curran declared an interest in agenda item 5B, by virtue that she knew of the family but she was not known to the applicant.
2. MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 2ND SEPTEMBER, 2014
RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 2nd September, 2014, be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.
3. EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS
RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from the meeting in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, as amended, on the grounds that exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act, was likely to be disclosed.
4. APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORT
ASSISTANCE
The Committee considered Appeals in relation
to transport assistance.
RESOLVED that
4. (a) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1198 be granted until the end of the 2014/15 academic year.
(b) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1199 be granted until the end of the 2014/15 academic year.
(c) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1200 be refused; on the grounds that the reasons put forward in support of the appeal did not merit the Committee exercising its discretion to make an exception and award a bus pass.
(d) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1201 be refused; on the grounds that the reasons put forward in support of the appeal did not merit the Committee exercising its discretion to make an exception and award a bus pass.
(e) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1202 be refused; on the grounds that the reasons put forward in support of the appeal did not merit the Committee exercising its discretion to make an exception and award a bus pass.
(f) having considered all the circumstances and the information set out in the report, Case No. 1203 be approved until a school place is allocated following the appeal hearing.
